I decided to start posting these lists at the end of each month. This is my top 25 most played songs on iTunes. October’s list is really indicative of what I was constantly listening to, especially those top five. Scott Simon’s version of “Umbrella” is just amazing so I listened to it a lot. Of course, there are a few Halloween-themed songs sprinkled throughout the list. And my favorite worship song is numero tres. There ya have it! 1. Umbrella by Scott Simons 2. Breathe Me by Sia 3. Grace and Love by Kutless 4. This is Halloween by Panic! At the Disco 5. I Know Where I’ve Been by Queen Latifah (Hairspray soundtrack) 6. Umbrella (Acoustic) by Marie Digby 7. The Other Side by Smile Empty Soul 8. Taxman by The Beatles 9. Piano Concerto No. 5 in E-flat major, Op. 73, Emporor composed by Beethoven 10. I Put a Spell on You by Bette Midler 11. I’m O.K. by Christina Aguilera 12. Dear Prudence from the Across the Universe Soundtrack 13. Going Under by Evanescence 14. What’s This? by Fall Out Boy 15. Only One by Hillsong 16. The Twilight Zone – Tower of Terror Theme from Disneyland 17. Thriller by Michael Jackson 18. You Can’t Stop the Beat by Nikki Blonsky, Zac Efron, etc. (Hairspray soundtrack) 19. I'm watching The Father of the Bride right now, and this is the first time I have noticed the pricing of the wedding details. There are a couple of crucial scenes. When George Banks is at work, he is waiting for the cost estimate. He gets the call that it will cost $250 a head. Then, he gets the head count from his wife. 572 people. 572. That is $143,000! And his family honestly gets angry at him for having a breakdown? I just don't get it. That is just slightly less than the cost of a Georgetown 4-year education! $143,000 for a one-day event? And that isn't even really the WHOLE cost; it's basically a minimum. I mean, it's pretty apparent that this family is upper-middle class but whoa... I think George Banks was perfectly justified in trying to cut down the guest list. That's all I'm sayin'.

21 at last! :D Sat, Mar. 17th, 2007, 07:34 pm
I am reading a business article for my management class, and one of the co-authors is L.J. Bourgeois III. That's probably the douche-baggiest name in the world.
P.S. I do realize that douche-baggiest does not even come close to proper English. Thu, Feb. 8th, 2007, 04:49 pm
Anna Nicole Smith died. It was unexpected and not suprising all at once, if that makes sense. Crazy... Thu, Apr. 20th, 2006, 12:48 am
I'm really in love with this song right now. I'm not quite sure why. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that I usually try to do what I feel is right, and that usually means being dubbed a "non-conformist". I do, however, realize that hypocrisy is rampant among so-called individuals or non-conformists. When I listen to this song, it helps to chip away some of that unfounded irritation I have towards other people. Admit it! Despite your pseudo-bohemian appearance And vaguely leftist doctrine of beliefs You know nothing about art or sex That you couldn’t read in any trendy New York underground fashion magazine Prototypical non-conformist You are a vacuous soldier of the thrift store Gestapo You adhere to a set of standards and tastes That appear to be determined by an unseen panel of hipster judges (bullshit) Giving a thumbs up or thumbs down to incoming and outgoing trends and styles of music and art Go analog baby, you’re so post-modern You’re diving face forward into a antiquated path It’s disgusting, its offensive, don’t stick your nose up at me
Yeah, what do you have to say for yourself Whoah, whoah, whoah, whoah Yeah, what do you have to say for yourself Whoah, whoah, whoah, whoah
You spend your time sitting in circles with your friends Pontificating to each other Forever competing for that one moment of self-aggrandizing glory In which you hog the intellectual spotlight Holding dominion over the entire shallow pointless conversation Oh, we’re not worthy When you walk by a group of quote-unquote normal people You chuckle to yourself patting yourself on the back as you scoff It's the same superiority complex Shared by the high school jocks who made your life a living hell And makes you a slave to the competitive capitalist dogma You spend every moment of your waking life bitching about
Yeah, what do you have to say for yourself Whoah, whoah, whoah, whoah And I say yeah, what do you have to say for yourself Whoah, whoah, whoah, whoah
Cause I’m proud of my life and the things that I have done Proud of myself and the loner I’ve become You’re free to whine, it will not get you far I do just fine, my car and my guitar
Proud of my life and the things that I have done Proud of myself and the loner I’ve become You’re free to whine, it will not get you far I do just fine, my car and my guitar, yeah
Well let me tell you this, I am shamelessly self-involved I spend hours in front of the mirror, making my hair elegantly disheveled I worry about how this album will sell Because I believe it will determine the amount of sex I will have in the future I self medicate with drugs and alcohol to treat my extreme social anxiety
You are a faker (admit it) You are a fraud (admit it) Yeah, you’re living a lie (hey) living a lie (hey) you’re life is living a lie You don’t impress me (admit it) You don’t intimidate me (admit it) Why don’t you bow down, get on the ground, walk this fucking plank (yeah!)
Yeah, what do you have to say for yourself Whoah, whoah, whoah, whoah And I say yeah (what do you..)
Proud of my life and the things that I have done Proud of myself and the loner I’ve become You’re free to whine, it will not get you far I do just fine, my car and my.. Guitar, guitar go!
I drift drift drift drift drift yeah I drift drift drift drift drift yeah oh
And I am done with this I wanna taste the breeze of every great city My car and my guitar My car and my guitar So you'll come to be, made of these, urgent unfulfilled Oh no no no no no When I'm dead I'll rest When I'm dead I'll rest way still When I'm dead I'll rest, I'll rest When I'm dead I'll rest, I'll rest When I'm dead I'll rest, I'll rest When I'm dead I'll rest, I'll rest- "Admit It!!!" by Say Anything -

I'm not really sure what, but something is wrong with my Friends page. Can somebody take a look and let me know if there is anything I can do to fix that? :\ Fri, Jul. 29th, 2005, 01:37 pm Another engagement!
Sammi ( pinkphatty_wut) is engaged! I'm just posting to congratulate her! Yay. :) Mon, Jul. 18th, 2005, 10:56 am Yay - an engagement!
I just had to post to congratulate Holly ( gonzostar ) on her engagement! I'm so excited for her. :) Oh, I stole the code from Sammi *blushes*, but can anybody tell me the simple coding to link other Livejournal users (where it says "gonzostar" above)? Thanks! Fri, Jul. 15th, 2005, 12:03 pm HP in one day!
I'm hopping on the Harry Potter LJ-cut bandwagon: If you feel you have the need to gush about the new book and the entire plot line in your Livejournal, please keep any and all spoilers behind a cut with fair warning. I would appreciate that so much! Tue, Jun. 7th, 2005, 11:00 pm THIS is hilarious.
My sister and I just completely cracked up reading these! So true, so true. Except for number 3 in the first list... ( 10 Truths - according to every race )Sat, Oct. 16th, 2004, 02:12 am
